Patna, Jan 29 : Condemning Md Azam Khan, the Muslim face of Samajwadi Party (SP) and a senior minister in Akhilesh Yadav's Cabinet in Uttar Pradesh for equating Taj Mahal, the international wonder with that of Ayodhya, Bihar Animal Husbandry Minister and senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh today alleged that Md Azam is trying to instigate communal flare in the country

Retorting sharply over the statement of Azam Khan, Mr Singh a firebrand leader of BJP, told UNI here that by equating Taj Mahal with Ayodhya, the leader is hell bent to disturb the peace and harmony in the society. He said such comments issued in a function at a school in Uttar Pradesh indicate "mentally bankruptcy" of Md Azam

The BJP leader suggested Md Azam to get his historical knowledge corrected and said Babri mosque was erected after demolishing Ram Temple in Ayodhya whereas the Taj Mahal had no such history and the mausoleum was constructed by Shah Jahan in the memory of his late beloved Mumtaz Mahal

Mr Singh said such leaders who were trying to vitiate the atmosphere by spitting venom should be replied back in the same manner and maintained that the people were objecting such acts of the leader. Describing the people as 'supreme' power he said, "the people would reply suitably to the leader like Md Azam." Md Azam while addressing the crowd of school students in Muzaffarnagar of UP had stated that he would "have led the frenzied mob had they decided to raze the Taj Mahal instead of razing Babri Masjid in Ayodhya." The statement of Md Khan created flutter in political circle, epecially the BJP camp which had taken the statement seriously
