He also directed the irrigation secretary to ensure that Ms Damania gets the information she has asked for, a statement said

The order was passed by Ratnakar Gaikwad, state chief information commissioner on January 22 this year, after Ms Damania filed her application

Mr Gaikwad has directed the principal secretary of the irrigation department to take disciplinary action against all the PIOs and FAAs of the irrigation department by February 28 and submit a report on the same

The order stated 'The applicant has sought information that is of great public interest. It comes across that the officials were not interested in providing her information

This shows that they have disobeyed the RTI Act, and it is important that action be taken against all PIOs and the FAAs
