Demi Moore was first choice for 'A League of Their Own', says Penny Marshall
London, Jan 29: Director Penny Marshall has revealed that she wanted to cast Demi Moore in the lead role of her film 'A League of Their Own' until the actress got pregnant with her second child.
In an interview to Bob Costas, the director said that the 'About Last Night...' star, who was then married to Bruce Wills, was her first choice, but she had to offer the role to Geena Davis, the New York Daily reported.
"Demi Moore I like, but by the time we came around, she was pregnant, so, Bruce [Willis] literally screwed her out of the part," the publication quoted her as saying.
The star-studded cast of the 1992 comedy included actors like Rosie O'Donnell and Tom Hanks.
