Kozhikode, Jan 28 : Senior leaders of the Congress-led ruling United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala today came out strongly against dominant community outfit Nair Service Society advocating 'key position' for Kerala Congress Committee President Ramesh Chennithala in the government

Reacting to NSS General Secretary G Sukumaran Nair's purported remarks at Thiruvanthapuram yesterday, Senior Leader and Union Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandray said it was not fair on the part of the community organisations to interfere in internal matters of the Congress

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the Kerala Government Teachers Union meet, he said such outfits interfering in the day-to-day affairs of the party could create a wrong precedent

On the demand for revamping the Ministry to give key positions to leaders hailing from the majority community, he said the Congress High Command would decide on such issues

Seninor Indian Union Muslim League Leader and Social Welfare Minister M K Muneer said it was the people who were electing a government and unseating it

Apparently reacting to Mr Nair's statement, he said 'if certain people talk certain things that would become social justice but if others talk it would become a controversy.' He said national leaders of the Congress were aware of what was happening in its state unit but their counterparts in the State were unaware of it
