BSE Sensex ends flat on RBI caution
The BSE Sensex ended flat on Monday as profit booking in energy stocks offset advances by lenders' and realty scrips.
The 30-share benchmark index ended 0.18 points lower at 20,103.35 with 15 of its components closing in the red.
The broader 50-share National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty index ended 0.15 points higher at 6,074.80 on Monday.
Interest rate sensitive stocks such as ICICI Bank and DLF gained a day before a widely-expected rate cut by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Meanwhile in the New Delhi bullion market, gold fell by Rs 15 to Rs 31,085 per 10 grams while silver dropped by Rs 500 to Rs 58,400 per kg.
