Another rhino killed in Kaziranga

Another rhino was killed by poachers in Assam's Kaziranga National Park (KNP) on Sunday midnight, officials said on Monday.

Poachers killed the male rhino at Borhola area under Burapahar range in the park and managed to flee with horn.

Forest guards of KNP found the body of dehorned rhino on Monday morning.

"Forest guards found several bullet injuries in the body and also recovered empty cartridge of AK series rifle and 303 rifle," a park official said.

It was the fourth incident in this year, where poachers killed four rhinoceros in KNP.

In 2012, at least 42 rhinos were died in KNP, where poachers killed 11 rhinos.
