Honoured at being chosen for Padma award: Sridevi

A day after being chosen for the PadmaSri award, Bollywood diva Sridevi today said she feels honoured at being chosen for the prestigious honour.
In a statement, the actress, who recently evoked rave reviews for her comeback in Gauri Shinde's 'English Vinglish', said, ''I feel honoured and humbled by the recognition. I would like to thank my fans for all the love and support they have given me.'' The actress has, in her nearly three decade long career, worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films with her performance in 'Sadma' winning her numerous accolades.
Sridevi was chosen for the Padma awards along with yesteryear's actress Sharmila Tagore and late Rajesh Khanna.
