Rare documents on the history of Kerala Legislatures since 1888 will be mounted at an exhibition beginning here January 28.
The comprehensive documents on the history of the legislatures since the last 125 years, including those existed prior to the formation of State on linguistic basis in 1957, would be on display, said an official release.
These included Travancore Legislative Council, Sreemoolam Praja Sabha, Sree Chitra State Council, Cochin Legislative Council, the first State Assembly of 1957 till the the current 13th House.
A Publication counter of the house would also be opened at the Town Hall, the venue of the exhibition jointly organized by the Information and Public Relations Department and the Kerala State Archives, it said.
Social Welfare Minister M K Muneer would inaugurate the exhibition at a function to be presided over by A Pradeep Kumar, MLA, it said adding Kozhikode Mayor Prof A K Premajam would deliver the key-note address.
This would be the first such event to be held in six district headquarters in the State, the release added.
