Kamal Haasan's'Vishwaroopam' was released in Kerala, amid protest by a section in certain parts of the state.
Reports from Palakkad said the screening of the film was stopped following protest marches by a group. However, pro-Marxist Democratic Youth Federation of India activists prevented screening of all other movies in Palakkad till the screening of 'Vishwaroopam' was resumed. The CPI(M) state unit also extended full support to the screening of the controversial movie.
Industry sources said here that the film, which was screened in 71 cinemas across the state, received a mixed response from the public.
