British cyclist Wiggins calls disgraced Armstrong a 'lying ba
British cyclist Bradley Wiggins has called American Lance Armstrong a 'lying ba****', and said that he has no sympathy for the latter in the wake of his acknowledgement that he took dope during his quest for cycling glory and heroics.
Upset at the disgraced rider's claims that he was clean, Team Sky star Wiggins said that he did not want to watch Armstrong's confession on the Oprah Winfrey chat show because he had idolised Armstrong as a child and he did not want to have that perception broken, News.com.au reports.
Wiggins added that although it was heartbreaking to see the former racing star confess after several years of lies, at the end of show there was no sympathy left for Armstrong.
Reminiscing about his tournaments together with Armstrong, Wiggins said Armstrong was the star of those tournaments, and was a different man from the one who appeared in the Oprah Winfrey chat show.
Armstrong had admitted in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that he had used performance-enhancing drugs during his seven Tour de France wins.
The disgraced American cycling star has been stripped of all his titles, which resulted in Wiggins finishing third instead of fourth in the 2009 Tour de France.
