Global crude oil price of Indian Basket rises
New Delhi, Jan 24 (IBNS)
The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published on Thursday by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas rose to USUSD 109.96/barrel (bbl) on Jan 23.
This was higher than the price of USUSD 109.49/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of Jan 22.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5912.55/bbl on Jan 23 as compared to Rs 5858.81/bbl on Jan 22.
This was due to price increase in dollar terms and rupee deprecation.
Rupee dollar-exchange rate on Jan 22 was Rs 53.77/USUSD against Rs 53.51/USUSD on previous trading day of Jan 22.
