The changes in the field of science and technology should be utilised for the betterment of society, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said here today.
He was speaking after giving away the prizes for
outstanding contribution in the field of science, instituted
by Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and
Environment and Department of Science and Technology here at
These prizes were instituted newly for those making key
contributions in the field of science. Government would give
encouragement to young talents in scientific field, he said.
Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology is making outstanding
contribution in this field, he added.
Apart from the question of who governs these
institutions, it is important to see how the possibilities
in this field are used for the welfare of society, he said.
