A pre-budget consultation with civil society organisations and citizen groups will be held here on January 30.
The pre-budget consultation is jointly organised by the
Social Accountability and Budget Analysis Network, Kerala,
(SABAN) and the Kerala Government, according to an official
statement here today.
State Finance Minister K M Mani, policy makers, members
from planning board, economists, top officials from finance
department and budget analysts are expected to participate
in this consultation.
The pre-budget consultation is in continuation with the
National Consultation on Budget Analysis and Accountability,
jointly conducted by Centre for Budget and Governance
Accountability (CBGA), New Delhi, Gulati Institute of
Finance and Taxation (GIFT), Government of Kerala and
Institute for Sustainable Development and Governance (ISDG),
here September 20.
During the National Consultation, the Finance Minister
had promised that he would facilitate pre-budget
consultations with civil society before the Kerala budget
