PDP protests against state government in Jammu and Kashmir
The leaders and supporters the people's Democratic Party (PDP) staged a protest here in Jammu and Kashmir, against the alleged 'oppressive policies' of the ruling National Conference Government in the state.
Hussain Ali Wafa, general secretary of the PDP, alleged that the state government has failed to live up to the expectations of the people.
"This government has always made false promises related to inflation, recruitment policy, capping of LPG cylinders and issues concerning the farmers. The government has failed and the people will not vote for them as they have remained unsuccessful in fulfilling their aspirations," said Wafa.
The agitated supporters came out in droves to burn the effigy of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, as they slammed him for false promises.
