Nokia in association with NDTV launched the first of its kind initiative that gave consumers the unique and exciting new opportunity to submit killer mobile app ideas that have the potential to be developed into successful apps for the Windows Phone Store.

As part of this campaign, the top 42 shortlisted consumers with the most exciting apps suggestions would be called in to participate in the world's first app reality show and stand a chance to win Rs 1 million. The full tech-auctioned 9 episode reality show will be aired on NDTV starting February 9 and will see consumers present their ideas in front of the esteemed panel of judges.

Commenting on the outstanding response received from consumers during the contest, Gerard Rego, Director, Developer Experience, Nokia India said, ''We are pleased and very excited to have received such a phenomenal response from consumers for the 'Nokia Lumia -- Your Wish Is My App' contest. The results have been astounding! 35000 entries is a huge number which clearly reiterates consumer enthusiasm for such initiatives.''
