Kozhikode clinches title in Kerala school art fete
Kozhikode clinched title for seventh consecutive year in the 53rd Kerala School Art Festival which concluded here today.
The district, which scored 912 through different disciplines, also had the distinction of winning first prize for 14 years.
Thrissur won the second spot with 898 points followed by host Malappuram third position with 881 points.
People from various parts of the state converged here to witness the performance by the budding artists in 232 items held in 17 different venues in the district.
The concluding session was inaugurated by Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb and attended by, among others, Panchayat and Social Welfare Minister M K Muneer and Urban Development Minister Manjalamkuzhi Ali.
