India defeated England by seven wickets in the third One Day International (ODI) match of the five-match series at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) Stadium here on Saturday.
Chasing 156 for victory, Indian batsmen scored 157 runs for the loss of three wickets in 28.1 overs.
India's Virat Kohli remained the top scorer for India with his unbeaten knock of 77 runs.
James Tredwell picked up two wickets for England.
Earlier, Indian bowlers put on a dominating performance to skittle out England for 155 in 42.2 overs.
Young batsman Joe Root was the top scorer for England with 39 while Ian Bell and Tim Bresnan contributed 25 each.
Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the Indian bowlers bagging three for 19 while off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin got two for 37. Pacer Ishant Sharma also got two for 29.
India lead the series by 2-1 margin with the victory.
