Yeddyurappa won't form government with BJP
Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Friday said his Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) will not form the government in the state with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after the Assembly polls.
Speaking to media after inaugurating KJP's Election Office here, Yeddyurappa said: "There is no question of KJP joining hands with the BJP to form the government. Some of them are trying to create confusion in the minds of people...Our aim is to form the KJP government on our own."
The Assembly elections in Karnataka will take place later this year.
Yeddyurappa said he is 'determined' to bring the KJP to power in the state.
Ending 40-year-old relationship with the BJP, Yeddyurappa last year formally quit the party.
He launched his political outfit KJP in December.
