IBS software to power China's first cruise liner
The Kerala-headquartered IBS Group's IT solutions will power Henna, China's first luxury cruise ship, the company said Thursday.
The IBS software - Cruise Partner - will power all the IT needs of the luxury liner from reservations to cruise inventory, pricing management, ancillary product contracting and channel management, the group, headquartered at Technopark here, said in a release.
IBS Group executive chairman V.K. Mathews said the company's IT solutions would enable the HNA Tourism Cruise and Yacht Management Co. Ltd, which owns the cruise liner, to make quicker inroads in the cruise market in China.
Henna has 739 rooms for 1,965 passengers besides a host of entertainment facilities on-board. It will make its maiden trip on the Sanya-Ha Long Bay-Da Nang route Jan 26.
Zhang Hao, president of HNA Tourism Cruise and Yacht Management, said the IBS Cruise Partner system would help them significantly in increasing their competitiveness in the market.
