Janata Dal (Secular) Floor Leader in the Karnataka legislative Assembly H D Revanna today urged Chief Minister Jagadish Shettor to immediately convene a Special Session of the House to discuss and pass a resolution to force the Centre not to bring gazette notification on the final award of the Cauvery River Water Tribunal.
Addressing a press conference here, he said Karnataka will be at a loss if notification was issued. Hence the issue has to be discussed in both the Houses and a unanimous resolution passed against notification.
"Moreover, there are two petitions against the Final Award pending before the court and a distress formula is yet to be worked out. When the situation is such we should not allow the Centre to issue Gazette notification," he said.
