Senior journalist and also the President of North Karnataka Development Forum Patil Putappa today said RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat had not come to terms with modern thinking.
Condemning the RSS chief on his statement that women were meant to look after their husband, Mr Puttappa said such statement about women or any attempt to keep women inside four walls would be simply derogatory.
He said Mr Bhagwat seemed to be ignorant of the current standing of women all over the world, including India.
Simply by keeping women inside the house or limiting them to kitchen will not help in curbing crimes on women, he said.
Mr Puttappa said there has been dire need to implement stringent laws to curb any sexual crime on women. Simply by being orthodox on such social evils cannot be stopped or prevented unless there is existence of effective laws to curb such crimes.
