Former Chief Minister and KJP President B S Yeddyurappa today said Chief Minsiter Jagadish Shettar faced threats from within the party rather than his regional outfit in trying to destabilise the BJP Government in Karnatka.
Speaking to reporters here, he said, in an indirect reference to BJP leader H N Anant Kumar, that some BJP leaders were competing with each other to dethrone Mr Shettar from the seat of power.
Mr Yeddyurappa, who claims support of large chunk of MLAs in the BJP Government, said a final decision on whether to bring down the Shettar Government would be taken at an executive committee meeting of the Karnataka Janata Party in the city on January 4.
He also claimed that the state would see important political changes after Sankranti festival which falls on January 14.
