Janata Dal (S) State unit President H D Kumaraswamy today said Congress brining back senior leader S M Krishna into Karnataka politics will not impact the prospects of his party.
Mr Krishna, who quit as External Affairs Minister two months ago, is being drafted to be one among the top leaders to lead the party in the coming Assembly election which is due in April-May this year.
His arrival is said to be a strategy to attract Vokkaliga votes in old Mysore area where JD(S) has more strength.
Addressing a function here, Mr Kumaraswamy said people of the state are 'fed up' with the Congress which ruled the state for over four decades in the past. People opposed Congress because it did not take up any worthwhile development schemes and worked for the betterment of minority communities, he said.
The BJP Government cannot fulfill the desires of the people, he said, adding only JD(S) can meet their demands.
