Ashram inmate stabbed to death

A person was stabbed to death allegedly by a fellow inmate following a quarrel at the Kashi Math, near here, police said today.
The deceased has been identified as Mahesh Prabhu, a cook at the Math, Mangalore North Commissioner Manish Karvekar said.
Nanda Kumar Prabhu, who is also working at the Math, picked up a quarrel and snatched a fruit-cutting knife which pierced Mahesh's chest,puncturing his heart, he said.
Nanda Kumar has been arrested, police said.
