After a successful run of one year, Zee TV's 'Afsar Bitiya' is coming to an end on Dec 29.

'Afsar Bitiya' will be replaced by Zee TV's latest offering, 'Housewife Hai.. sab janti hai.'

The show which emphasized on the importance of female education had actors Mitali Nag and Kinshuk Mahajan as leads and other prominent actors like Shahbaz Khan, Indira Krishnan, Yash Sinha, Shivshakti Sachdev and Virendra Saxena in pivotal roles.

Said producer Rakesh Paswan, "Afsar Bitiya is very close to my heart and will always remain so. This one year has been a very enriching experience and I am thankful to Mr. Sukesh Motwani and Zee programming team for giving me this opportunity to create an inspiring show like Afsar Bitiya.

"It was not an easy task to commission a show based on education but Zee TV believed in it and we made it happen. I thank all of them for this wonderful journey and experience."

Mitali Nag, who played the lead role of Krishna, said: "Working in Afsar Bitiya was a dream journey which was very close to reality . I got to play a daughter, sister, student, wife, daughter in law and an officer. Lucky to get such a break on a channel with focuses on concept based shows and really glad to have worked with talented co actors, writers directors and producer."

"'Afsar Bitiya' has helped me grow as an actor as well as a person. But as they say, for a beginning there has to be an end."

Kinshuk Mahajan who played the character of Pintoo Singh in the show, said: "Working with Afsar Bitiya team was a wonderful experience. I have never worked with such a chilled out team.

"Speaking Bihari dialect was super fun. The entire team was so supportive and friendly, always felt like home. Eating biriyani on the sets and cracking silly jokes with the team is something which I'll miss terribly. I'll really miss the entire team."
