Vishwajeet said, "All of us had a brilliant experience recording with Vishalji and Rekhaji. I personally feel blessed to have got this opportunity.
"Vishal ji was our Santa Claus this year in every sense of the word. He just came on our show to promote his movie and who would have ever imagined that he would wrap up our show by offering all of us an opportunity to sing in Matru ki Bijli ka Mandola. We are ever so grateful to him."
Said a source from the channel, "The contestants got a chance to playback even before the finale of the show. It's a huge thing for them. We hope Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola is a big hit!"
Vishal Bharadwaj, Rekha Bharadwaj and contestants of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa
Vishal and Rekha were visibly impressed by the contestants while attending the episode.
While Shenaz's rendition of 'Naina Thag Lenge' had Rekha in tears, Jazim Sharma's performance on the ghazal, 'Maye Mera Ranjha' made Vishal say "Yahi sunne ke liye toh hum zinda hai. I am so thankful to 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' for showcasing these genres of music. This is real music. It was because of ghazals that I had met Rekha."
Renu Nagar's powerful performance on 'Lakad Jal Ke' made Vishal comment, "Dikhne mein jitney choti hai utni buland awaaz hai. Sherni wali rare awaaz hai. Reshma aur Abida jaisi. Mitti ki khushbu hai tumhare awaaz mein."
The episode also had dapper Imraan Khan and the gorgeous Anushka Sharma looking absolutely splendid and radiant in a beige backless anarkali dress.
The rustic voice of Rekha Bharadwaj kept the audiences mesmerized as she teamed up with Shankar Mahadevan and gave a fun-filled performance on the song 'Oye Boy Oye Boy Charlie' from the movie 'Matru ki Bijli ka Mandola'. --IBNS
