Hearing on Jagan's regular bail adjourned to January 4
Andhra Pradesh High Court today adjourned the hearing on the regular bail petition filed by YSR Congress party chief and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to January 4.
The court reminded Jagan's counsel that as the Supreme Court had given three months time to the CBI to complete its investigation and period was yet to be completed.
The court also expressed the view that it would have been better if they sought bail after completion of that three month period.
The Andhra Pradesh High Court two-days ago had dismissed the statutory bail petition of YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case against him.
Jagan had filed statutory bail petition on December 3 and regular bail petition on December 6.
Jagan, in his statutory and regular bail petitions in the court, contended that he had statutory right of getting bail as the CBI had failed to file the charge-sheet within the stipulated time frame of 90 days.
The Supreme court in October 2012 while dismissing his bail plea had asked Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy to review his prayer for bail before the trail court after March 31, 2013, on completion of investigation and filing of charge sheets on seven issues related to him.
Jagan was arrested by the CBI on May 27, 2012 and was presently under judicial remand in Chanchalguda Central Jail here.
