The preparation of Karnataka budget for 2013-14, which is likely to be presented early during February, is in full swing and district wise details of budgetary allocations was being worked out, Chief minister Jagdish Shettar today said.
Speaking to reporters at Bellada Bagewadi, native village of Agriculture Minister Umesh Katti where his son's marriage is due for tomorrow, Mr Shettar said he was confident of presenting the budget and it will be a popular one.
There are doubts on the Chief Minister being able to present a full budget and the government lasts its full tenure due to political upheaval in the BJP government after rebel leader B S Yeddyurappa broke away from it and several legislators openly supporting him.
'I will be presenting the budget certainly and it will happen in Bangalore and not in Belgaum where Assembly session was held recently,' he said.
However, the Chief Minister promised higher allocation for Belgaum district.
