The pro-CPI (M) All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) today accused the Congress-led United Democratic Front Government in Kerala of 'shielding' the accused in the Arayidathpalm inter-state sex scam case.
Talking to reporters here, Senior AIDWA Leaders P Sathidevi and K K Lathika, MLA alleged the authorities were attempting to scuttle the case by delaying the probe to protect the accused, who were connected with the higher-ups.
They claimed though the probe team was able to nab 21 people, big sharks, including politicians and traders, involved in the racket as per revelations of two minor victims, are yet to be broguht to book.
Stating the authorities were delaying the case apparently at the interference of the State Home Department, they called upon alll democratic forces to raise their voice against the move.
