'Intuitive' Watson says 'gut instincts' would help him lead Australia in Boxing Day Test
Australia vice-captain Shane Watson has said if he gets a chance to lead the team in the Boxing Day Test against Sri Lanka then he would trust his gut instincts on the field to make the right decisions.
Captain Clarke has fifty percent chance to recover for the second Test in Melbourne, and Watson, who has led the team in eight one-day internationals previously, said he has realized that he just loves to lead Australia on the international front, News.com.au reports.
Watson said during his small spell as the Australia captain in ODIs he had learnt to trust his gut instincts and intuitions.
The all rounder added that one can not learn to trust their intuitions until and unless they get properly involved in the game and that is something you do when you lead the team on the field.
