Watson says contributing with ball during Hobart Test win 'big accomplishment'
Australia vice-captain Shane Watson has claimed contributing with the ball during their Hobart Test win against Sri Lanka was a big accomplishment for him following the injury woes he has suffered throughout his career.
The 47.4 overs Watson bowled in Hobart, including 27 in the final innings as Australia pushed for victory minus the injured Ben Hilfenhaus was the most he has delivered in a Test in his career, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Watson has been dogged by calf strains the past two Australian summers but said he had pulled up well from his increased workload, the paper added.
The swashbuckling all rounder said that he wanted to contribute to the team more, and added that he was glad his body supported him fully to bowl so many overs.
