Lankan spin wizard Herath eyeing exploiting Oz's penchant for fast bowling
Sri Lanka spin bowler Rangana Herath has said he would look to exploit Australian batsmen's fondness of playing fast bowling in the second Test match at Melbourne.
Herath, the world's leading Test wicket-taker this year with 60 scalps from nine matches, gave a peek of the damage he can cause by taking 5-95 in the second innings of his side's defeat in the first Test in Hobart.
The devious left-arm spinner is optimistic that there might be more rewards for him at the MCG on a pitch he expects to lend aid as the second Test wears on, the Herald Sun reports.
Herath claimed the infrequency with which Australia's batsmen faced quality spin in their domestic cricket would certainly go against them.
Herath is confident he would be able to exploit this weakness of the Australia batsmen in the Boxing Day Test.
