Normal train services on the busy New Delhi- Kanpur section of the North-Central Railway(NCR) was disrupted following derailment of four wagons of a goods train near Bolaki station near Dadri today.
Railway sources said the wagons derailed when the goods train was going towards Kanpur.
However, none was injured in the accident, sources said, adding that repair work was on and the traffic would be normalised very soon.
Due to the derailment, several long distance trains, including the Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express, have been delayed.
Some trains were even diverted through alternate routes.
Railways have cancelled the Gomti Express both from Lucknow to New Delhi and from New Delhi to Lucknow today, while New Delhi- Lucknow Shatabdi Express has been diverted to an alternate route along with some other trains.
Due to dense fog in almost northern parts of the country, most of the trains were running late.
