Pakistan national dies in Lahore-Delhi bus
A Pakistan national, who was travelling in the 'Sada-e-Sarhad' (Lahore-Delhi bus) Lahore-Delhi bus today died of cardiac arrest in the bus near Mandi Gobindgarh town of district Fatehgarh Sahib.
The bus was on its way from Lahore to Delhi and when it reached near Mandi Gobindgarh, a passenger Ali Mardan, a resident of Jakbabad of Pakistan started feeling unwell.
When the bus stopped at Floating Restaurant, Sirhind for lunch of passengers, a doctor from Civil Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh examined the 42-year-old Ali Mardan and declared him dead. The body was taken to Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib.
According to information received, Ali Mardan along with his close relatives was to visit Apolo Hospital, New Delhi for his liver transplantation. After some time the bus left for its destination. When contacted Fatehgarh Sahib Deputy Commissioner Yashvir Mahajan, he said the body was kept at the mortuary of the civil hospital .
He said the deceased relatives want not to get his postmortem so they have sent a written request to Fatehgarh Sahib SDM in this regard. He said the information of death of passenger have passed to police.
He said the body will be sent back under police security after completing all procedure. He said though relatives of the deceased are in shock but the district administration has made proper arrangement for stay of the relatives.
