In addition to 124 winter special trains already announced on its route recently, in co-ordination with Northern Railway, the Konkan Railway (KR) has now introduced additional eight special trains between H Nizamuddin and Madgaon and New Delhi and Trivandrum stations for the convenience of its passengers.
Train No 02450 (AC) Weekly Superfast Express will depart from H Nizamuddin at 0730 hours and arrive at Madgaon at 1000 hours next day. This train will run on December 21, 28 and January 04.
On return journey, Train No 024499 will depart from Madgaon at 1050 hours and arrive at H Nizamuddin at 1655 hours next day.
This train will run on December 23, 30 and January 06, a KR release here today said.
The train will halt at Nizamuddin, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat,Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Ratnagiri, Kudal, Thivim and Karmali stations in both directions. The train will have 18 coaches.
Train No 04098 Super Express will depart from Delhi at 2340 hours on December 22 and arrive at Trivandum at 0545 hours on fourth day.
On return journey, Train No 04097 will depart from Trivandrum at 1200 hours on December 28 and arrive at Delhi at 1930 hours on third day.
The train will halt at Mathura, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vasai Road, Panvel, Ratnagiri, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Udupi, Mangalore Jn., Kasargod, Kanhangad, Payyanur, Kannur, Thalassery, Vadakara, Kozikode, Tirur, Kuttipuram, Shornur Jn., Thrisur, Aluva,Ernakulam Town, Kotayam, Tiruvella, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam and Kollam stations in both directions.
The train will have 19 coaches.
With these additional train services, the total number of special trains being run on the KR route during winter season rises to 132,the release added.
