Cine-goers go on rampage in theatre

Upset over the malfunctioning of sound system during the maiden screening of Kannada film stars Puneet Rajkumar's 'Yare Koogadali', cine-goers today damaged glass panes of doors and windows at the theater.
Police said the incident occurred following repeated failure of audio equipment during the screening of the movie which was being watched by hundreds of Puneet fans who went berserk and resorted to damaging the glass panes.
Police rushed to the spot, resorted to mild lathi charge to disperse the irate fans and brought the situation under control.
Meanwhile, the management of Sangam Theatre have cancelled all the four shows scheduled for the day and said that tickets bought for today's shows will be valid for tomorrow.
