Global Food Pavilion to bring international flavours
The upcoming Global Village Trade Fair will witness a convergence of international, national and traditional Kerala cuisines at its expansive food pavilion.
Global Village, which runs from December 22 to January 9, is spread over 24 acre at Lulu Convention Centre in Bolgatty Island in Kochi is a focal point of the ongoing South Indian Bank Grand Kerala Shopping Festival.
The Global Village will have nearly 400 stalls across separate themed pavilions, each claiming to offer unique shopping experience, according to a release here today.
The food pavilion will feature around 50 stalls serving special fares from Kerala and Rajasthan to Mexican salads and Italian pizza.
One of the biggest attractions at the food festival will be authentic tribal food from Wayanad presented by 'Ooru' which will bring to the table unique cuisine of the 'Kurumar' tribe of Wayanad through a special stall that will serve up dishes including 'Gandhakasala Ghee Rice' and 'Mulamkutty Puttu.' For the adventurous palate, there will be a variety of dosa stuffings and toppings, including crab, prawn and mutton, chicken, fish.
Delectable Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisines would form part of the offerings.
