Eoin Morgan hopes 'feel-good factor' from Test success in India will rub-off in T20 series

English cricketer Eoin Morgan is hoping that a 'feel good factor' for England from their Test victory over India would help them to repeat history in the T20 series.

The Irishman, who led the England one-day side for a one-off match in his native Dublin 18 months ago, hopes that
these two matches will be the first step on the road back to Test cricket ahead of next summer's Ashes.

"Certainly, given the opportunity, I'll back myself to get back in the team - absolutely. I'm only going to do that
through weight of runs," The Telegraph quoted Morgan, as saying.

"It's my first opportunity in two or three months. I was looking for a chance, and the chance didn't come. I'm not
going to sit and sulk about it; I'll do things that are going to put me in the right direction and hope they move me up
the pecking order," he added.

According to the paper, as deputy to the injured Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad, Morgan described his style of
leadership as "relaxed".

He also insisted that he would have no problem returning to centre stage after being anonymous so far on this tour,
where he has played just one innings for a full England side in the second pre-series warm-up match against a
Mumbai XI, the paper said.

"Being vice-captain of the Twenty20 side in the first place, you're always going to be thrust into a situation where the
captain might get injured. It's not that I have prepared for it, but mentally you think if something happens to Broady
then you might get the chance. Really, I am quite happy to take the reins," Morgan said.

"It's a great opportunity for me in these two games against one of the best sides in the world in their backyard. It's
certainly going to be a challenge I'm looking forward to," he added.
