Kesha's song taken off air after US school shootout
Kesha's latest single 'Die Young' has reportedly been pulled off air by radio stations across the US, after 20 young children and six adults were killed by a 20-year-old gunman in an elementary school in Connecticut.
The gunman, identified as Adam Lanza, allegedly killed his own mother before turning the weapon on himself.
According to Mediabase, the 'Die Young' clocked in at number 3 on the radio playlists on Friday (the day of the shooting) reaching 167 million listeners nationwide.
By Saturday, the day after the shooting the airplay dropped by 3 million listeners, a sign that stations were slowly pulling the song off the air, TMZ.com reported.
By Monday, the single took a huge hit on the radio dropping down to 148 million listeners, a 19 million drop from what had been a pretty steady rotation before the shooting.
