Central team to inspect cyclone losses on Dec 20

East Godavari District Collector Neethu Kumary today said a Central team would be visiting the district on December 20 to study the impact of the loss suffered when 'Neelam' struck in November.
She told mediapersons here that the team would be reaching Tuni from Visakhapatnam at 0930 hours on December 20 where it will view the photo exhibition on the cyclone losses and inspect the Thandava rail bridge which was battered by the cyclone.
Later, the team will visit Kummarilova area in Tuni town and inspect the Kudumpatruni tank in Uppampalem village which was breached. Among the other areas included in the tour itinerary were Culverts in Routhulapudi and Pampa reservoir in Annavaram, paddy and cotton fields in Gollaprolu and Locks at Samalkot.
Later, in the evening the team would proceed to neighbouring West Godavari district, the Collector said.
