Terrorism flourishes during Cong regime: Madhya Pradesh Min'
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Umashankar Gupta has alleged that the Digvijay Singh government patronised the banned terror outfit Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) in the state.
Talking to reporters here yesterday, Mr Gupta ruled out the former chief minister's allegation about flourishing of Hindu organisations' fracas and saffron terrorism.
"On the contrary, during Mr Singh's tenure the organisations such as SIMI had spread terror and they received protection from that regime. Such organisations' name also surfaced frequently during Congress' rule," he said.
The Minister claimed that the present incumbent had initiated action against such ogranisations and make the state a safe haven for common man.
