The Karnataka government will open Police Commissionerates offices in Gulbarga and Belgaum soon, Deputy Chief Minister R Ashoka, who is also the Karnataka Home Minister said today.
Speaking to reporters here he said many people and organisations have requested to the government for Police commissionerate offices in the two north Karnataka cities.
The matter was discussed in the just concluded winter session at Suvarna vidhana soudha in Belgaum.
He said government will bow to public opinion. With Belgaum being strategic to the government as a Border area and Gulbarga is also a big city. There had also been a slight increase at both cities.
