DMK holds stir against long power cuts in Tamil Nadu

The Opposition DMK in Tamil Nadu today staged a state-wide agitation condemning the unprecedented power cuts in the state running upto 12 to 16 hours in some districts.

DMK President M Karunanidhi personally led the agitation at Valluvarkottam in the city, in which hundreds of DMK workers participated.

Former Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran, Former Minister K Ponmudy and senior party leaders participated in the stir.

The leaders raised slogans denouncing the ruling AIADMK for the prevailing power cuts and also alleged that the government did not augment various power projects launched during the previous DMK regime.
