Boat services cancelled due to rough seas

Tourists visiting this district had to return disappointed as rough seas led to the cancellation of boat services to various places of tourism interest.
Sources said the seas along the coast continued to remain rough for the last three days leading to Poompuhar Shipping Corporation cancelling its popular boat services to Tiruvallur Statue and Vivekananda Rock Memorial among others.
As a result, many domestic and foreign tourists had to return disappointed without visiting any of these landmarks.
Even today, the seas continued to remain rough.
Fishermen also did not venture into the sea for similar reason.
