Asian cop in UK charged for 'calling women Pakis'
An Asian police official in Britain has been charged with calling three women "Pakis" on a boozy night out.
Detective Constable Darren Sonnar allegedly lost his rag when the three women, also Asian, wouldn't let him jump a cashpoint queue.
Sonnar, 33, who is of Mauritian descent, was celebrating his birthday with pals.
A complaint was made and officers in Brighton arrested him at around midnight.
According to the Sun, he has now been suspended from a specialist unit at Belgravia police station in central London.
The cop will face trial in April charged with "racially aggravated public order" and using "threatening words/behaviour".
The report pointed out that the alleged incident would bring further embarrassment to the Met, which was branded "institutionally racist" over the murder of black student Stephen Lawrence in 1993.
