Mainly dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu and Kerala and dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over Rayalaseema, rose at one or two places over Coastal and North Interior Karnataka, Kerala, fell at one or two places over Coastal Tamil Nadu and changed a little elsewhere over the region.
They were appreciably above normal at most places over Telangana, at one or two places over North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Coastal Tamil Nadu, above normal at a few places over rest Coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over rest Rayalaseema, rest Tamil Nadu, appreciably below normal at one or two places over North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over rest North Interior Karnataka, rest Rayalaseema, North Interior Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region.
Dharwad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 19th December 2012: Rain or thundershower would occur at a few places over South Coastal Tamil Nadu. Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur over Kerala. Isolated light rain may occur over rest Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Mainly dry weather would prevail over Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
