Sensex falls by 72.83 points

The 30-scrip index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today fell by 72.83 points to end at 19,244.42 ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's mid-quarter monetary policy review, weighed down by selling pressure in Bharti Airtel, TCS, BHEL and HDFC Bank.
The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) declined by 21.70 points to 5,857.90 points as compared to its last close.
The Sensex registered the day's high and low at 19,346.78 and 19,221.87 points, respectively.
The Nifty registered the day's high and low at 5,886.05 and 5,850.15 points, respectively.
