Charlie Sheen in his drunken stupor reportedly gave away a 1.6 million pound baseball - autographed by legendary Babe Ruth - to fellow actor Zac Efron.

The 47-year-old actor totally forgot about handing over the collectors' item and only recently discovered his generosity.

Inspecting his baseball collection, the 'Two and a Half Men' star saw the slot where the ball used to sit and suddenly remembered what he'd done.

Now Cincinnati Reds supporter Charlie is too embarrassed to ask Efron to give back the ball.

"Charlie is a massive baseball fan. He is really proud of the array of stuff, old and new, that he has amassed and keeps it in a special room in his Los Angeles mansion," the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

"One evening he and Zac had been having a wild boys' night at Charlie's.

"Charlie showed him his collection and Zac was blown away by the 1920s signed Babe Ruth baseball which he'd bought at auction for around 1.6million pounds," the source added.

The source said that Sheen got it out and suddenly told him it was all his, and that the 25-year-old actor could keep it.

"The next morning Charlie had totally forgotten about his largesse and only remembered when he next went into the room," the source said.

"Now he doesn't quite know how to ask Zac for the ball back," the source added.
