KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala today urged the Kerala government to take steps to ensure advanced medical care to PDP leader Abdul Nasser Maudany, who is under arrest in Karnataka in connection with 2008 Bangalore serial blast case.
In a press release here, Mr Ramesh said the Kerala Government must take up this issue with the Karnataka Governemnt on humanitarian ground.
Stating that the UDF Government in Kerala would exert pressure on Karnataka in this regard, he said a delegation would go to Karnataka to inquire into the health condition of Maudany in the jail.
Meanwhile, Finance and Law Minister and Kerala Congress (M)leader K M Mani urged the Karnataka Government to provide advanced medical care to the PDP leader in consultation with the Karnataka High Court.
Mr Chennithala also alleged that CPI(M) was trying to politicise the issue for electoral benefit.
