Continuing with the goodwill exchange programme the Governments of Karnataka and Meghalaya had initiated in wake of large-scale exodus of people from southern cities after the Kokrajhar violence and subsequent rumours, Karnataka Government is hosting a high-level goodwill delegation from Meghalaya.
A high-profile cultural programme showcasing the cultural and traditional heritage of Meghalaya will be held at city's Ravindra Kalakchetra, J C Road on December 16.
Meghalaya Minister for Information and Public Relations (IPR) Abu Taher Mondal along with Director, IPR Meghalaya H M Shangpliang are arriving in the city tomorrow.
Mr Mondal said "this is the Meghalaya's unique initiative and will go a long way in fostering inter-cultural harmony and national integration. We thank the Karnataka government for their support."
